1963 Mgb Convertible For Sale
The Mgb was launched at Earl Courts Motor Show in November 1962. The Mgb engine increased in size from the Mga's 1622 cc to a 1798 cc motor. Power was increased from 86 bhp to 95 bhp. The new roadster was fairly weather proof and got around 22-28 mpg. The first series Mgb's were produced from 1962-1967. 1963 Mgb's came with an optional overdrive. In 1965 the fuel tank size increased from 10 gallons to 12 gallons and the door handles were changed from the desirable pull handle to a push button. There were a good amount of color options for these vehicles over the run of production. The Mgb featured Lockheed front disc brakes and drums in the rear. Front suspension was separate with rack and pinion steering and insulated rubber blocks. Splined knock off wire wheels were optional. Early Mgb's with the desirable pull handles are in the highest demand amongst collectors.
1963 Mgb Convertible. This car is a very early Mgb with the pull handles on the doors.The car has an 1800 cc engine which is believed to be original with a manual gearbox with the optional overdrive. It does run and drive. Front brakes on the car have been updated to drilled rotors. Has all the original optional wire wheels with the factory spare in the trunk. Other items that are also included are the original su carbs, factory jack with the bag, removable soft top frame, tonneau cover, etc. It is a solid car and comes with a clean title. Complete car. This vehicle is painted old english white and the interior is black with white piping.
The interior of the car has just been completely restored and is in beautiful shape. The manual windows roll up and down without any issues. Soft top on the car is brand new. All the glass on the car is in great condition. The dash is in great shape. There are many books for this car that are included with the sale. All the chrome on the car is in great shape. This vehicle has been a garage kept car. Great condition car that would be a blast to drive.
