1941 Dodge WC3 Weapons Carrier For Sale

Dodge had evolved the 1940 VC-1 to VC-6 into the half ton rated WC series of the military light trucks. They had produced 38 model variants and 30 of them were four wheel driven. The 1/2 ton WC models were the first all-military design Dodge developed in the buildup to full mobilization for World War II and they were the U.S. Army's first standard light 4x4 trucks. The WC series came with wide open fenders that prevented mud buildup. They had a sloping nose with an integrated, round, grated grille. A new ambulance with a fully enclosed rear body was designed, on a longer, 123 inch wheelbase. Some models had also come with a PTO driven winch were. Both the Dodge half ton VC and WC trucks were part of the Army G-505 series. 77,750 four wheel drive 1/2 ton WC numbered trucks were produced during late 1940 to 1942 under War Department contracts.

1941 Dodge WC3 Weapons Carrier. This vehicle has just out of long term ownership. Has a flathead six cylinder engine with a manual transmission. The engine does turn freely by hand. As far as we know the engine, transmission and four wheel drivetrain is original to the vehicle. The handbrake handle and handle for the four wheel drive is there. In the bed of the vehicle it looks like it had a machine gun in it.

The seat frames to this vehicle are there but will require recovering. The metal seat frames are still intact. Does have a few areas where there is some rust. Lower part of windshield frame is missing and so is the glass. Has the original wheels and comes with the side mount spare tire. There are some extra miscellaneous pieces that come with this vehicle. Has a clean California title.
