1973 Triumph TR6 For Sale
The Triumph TR6 is an English sports car that was produced from 1969 to 1976. The first series of these vehicles have commission numbers with CP or CC. CP meant the vehicle had fuel injection and CC designated that the vehicle came with carburetors. The first bodies were built in Liverpool, England. The fuel injection cars came with 150 horsepower and the US model with carburetors came with 104 horsepower. The Triumph TR6 was the best seller for the TR range when production ended. The TR7 would eventually pass the sales of the TR6. Total production of the TR6 was 91,850. Majority of these vehicles were exported. The frame, engine, running gear, body tub and doors were very similar to the TR250, also known as the TR5. The front and rear of these vehicles were restyled by Karmann of Germany.
1973 Triumph TR6. This TR6 comes with a 2.5 liter straight six engine and a four speed manual transmission. As far as we know the engine and transmission are original to the vehicle. We got the engine to start off of pouring some gas into the carburetors. Comes with factory power disc brakes on the front and drums on the rear. Has the original TR6 wheels with the center caps and hubcaps. Has four new tires. Exterior color of the car is white and comes with a black interior. Comes with manual windows. Has an aftermarket hard top. There is no soft top frame with this vehicle.
The interior of the vehicle is complete but will require some restoration. The gauges are all there and the dash hasn't been cut up. All of the gauges are original to the car. Has the original Triumph TR6 steering wheel. All the glass is in good condition other than a chip in the windshield. Comes with its original bucket seats. This vehicle does have a bit of rust in the front floorboards, but other than that it is a solid car. There is a brand new fuel tank included with the sale. Comes with a clean California title. Great candidate for restoration.
