Description

1975 Jensen Interceptor For Sale

The Jensen Interceptor was built in West Bromwich, UK from 1966 to 1976. The body of the Interceptor was designed by Carrozzeria Touring of Italy. Jensen used Chrysler V8 engines with the Interceptor. The first engines used were a 383 V8. In 1971 Jensen decided to install 440 cubic inch motors in their vehicles rather than the 383. In 1971 there was 232 vehicles built with the 440 six pack. In 1972 the six pack option was removed and the four barrel carburetor was the only option. The Interceptor did have some styling cues from the Brasinca Uirapuru. They both had a large wrap around rear window, which also served as a hatch. The original specifications for these vehicles included electric windows, reclining front seats, wood rimmed steering wheel, radio with twin speakers, reversing lights and an electric clock. In 1968 power steering was added as standard equipment. The first Interceptors were produced from 1966 to 1969, next was the Mark II which had revised styling around the headlamps and rear lights. Front grille and bumper were also changed. The last Interceptor was the Mark III which was introduced in 1971. Jensen revised the styling around the headlamps again as well as the front grille and bumper. In 1975 Jensen hit hard times and in 1976 the Interceptor had stopped production.

1975 Jensen Interceptor. This vehicle originally came out of Beverly Hills, California, then made its way up to Oregon in the 1990's. This vehicle comes with a 440 cubic inch engine with an automatic transmission. Has just over 77,580 original miles. Does run and drive, but will require a bit more work to be 100% roadworthy. The exhaust has a great tone and currently has headers. Has disc brakes on the front and rear. Comes with power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. We have done some things to this vehicle. The fuel tank was removed and cleaned, fuel sender was cleaned and a new filter and float were installed, new header down pipe gaskets and a new fuel pump was installed. Has all four Jensen wheels.

The interior of the vehicle is all there but will require a restoration. Has the original front and rear bucket seats. The dash is all original and has not been cut up. The only gauge that isn't working at this moment in time is the temperature gauge, the other gauges are working as they should. All the glass is there and in good shape. The bumpers to the vehicle are included with the sale as well as some other miscellaneous parts. We do have some history about the car and there are also some receipts included with the sale. This Jensen is a very solid car and would be a great restoration project. Comes with a clean title.
