1948 Ford F1 For Sale
The first generation Ford F series were produced from 1948 to 1952. These trucks were first introduced in late 1947. The F series marked the divergence of Ford car and truck. Along with the pickup trucks the model line included panel vans, Previous Ford Pickups had a split windshield. Ford assembled these F series pickups at sixteen different facilities during production. The F1 came with a one piece windshield and integrated headlights. The cabs on these pickups also were wider. Some of these pickups came with options of additional stainless steel trim, twin horns, windshield washer, passenger side windshield wiper and passenger side sun visor. The engines that came with these pickups were a flathead inline six cylinder or a flathead v8.
1948 Ford F1. This pickup comes with a V8 engine with an automatic transmission. The engine that is in the truck turns a bit by hand then gets stuck. The front end has a GM front clip on it with independent front suspension with disc brakes and power steering. Steering column has been changed to a tilt column. This truck hasn't been on the road for many years. Does come with the original bench seat. There are many parts included with the sale of the truck. The door glass is there, tailgate, door inspection covers, etc. Has both black and yellow plates.
The interior on the truck will need to be completely restored. This vehicle rolls and steers. As on majority of these old pickups the glass and seals will have to be replaced with new. There is some rust on the truck in the common locations. California truck that comes with a clean title.
