The first generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by Ford from March 1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The Mustangs styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition. It was initially introduced on April 17, 1964, as a hardtop and convertible with the fastback version put on sale in August 1964. With each revision, the Mustang saw an increase in overall dimensions and in engine power. The 1967 model year Mustang was the first significant redesign of the original model. Ford's designers began drawing up a larger version even as the original was achieving sales success. The major mechanical feature was to allow the installation of a big block V8 engine. The overall size, interior and cargo space were increased. Exterior trim changes included concave taillights, side scoops for 1967 and chrome side ornamentation for 1968, square rear-view mirrors, and usual yearly wheel and gas cap changes.
This 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe was with the previous owner for over 20 years. As far as we know the engine and automatic transmission are original to the car. Factory power steering and air conditioning. This car has been off for road since 1999. The engine does turn freely by hand. Is not currently running. Has two aftermarket wheels and two original wheels. The factory spare is included as well as some trim for the car. Has manual windows.
The interior on the car is all there but will require a restoration. All the gauges are present and dont't look to be broken. The glass is all there and in good shape other than the windshield which does have some chips. The car is pretty much complete. Vehicle does have some rust. Clean California title. Would make a great project.
