1977 Fiat Spider Convertible For Sale

Since the 1950's, Fiat had marketed a series of attractive convertibles in the U.S., usually designed by Pininfarina. The latest series sold in the U.S. was to be the longest lived. The 124 spider was started in 1966 and had a 1500 cc four cylinder engine. The four cylinder engines used a double overhead cam. Bosch fuel injection was introduced in mid 1980. In 1969 these cars all had four wheel disc brakes and a five speed manual transmission. Suspension is conventional by unequal length wishbones and coil over dampers at the front. Rear axle has a coil sprung rear axle which is located by a transverse link panhard rod and two pairs of forward extending radius rods to react to braking and acceleration forces. The spiders convertible top was known for its simplicity of use.

This 1977 Fiat Spider is a one owner car and has the original sales invoice when purchased. Has always been on the dry state of California. The engine in the car is original and so is the manual five speed transmission. The motor does turn freely by hand. It is not currently running. The last time the car was on the road was in the mid 1980's. It has aftermarket western rims with newer tires. The factory spare is in the trunk. Has manual windows and the car has four wheel disc brakes.

The interior on the car is all there but will require work. All the gauges are present and are in good condition. Vehicle has the original stereo. The glass is all there and in good condition. Steering wheel on the car is original. The vehicle is complete. Has a luggage rack and has a roll bar. Vehicle does have some small spots of rust, but overall is a solid car. Clean California title with original owners manual, etc. Great project at a small price.
