The Jaguar E-Type, or the Jaguar xke for the North American market, is a British sports car that was manufactured by Jaguar Cars Ltd between 1961 and 1975. It's combination of beauty, high performance, and competitive pricing established the model as an icon of the motoring world. On its release in March 1961 Enzo Ferrari called it 'the most beautiful car ever made'. The E-Type was initially designed and shown to the public as a rear-wheel drive grand tourer in two-seater coupe form (FHC or Fixed Head Coupe) and as a two-seater convertible 'roadster' (OTS or Open Two Seater). Later model updates of the E-Type were officially designated Series 2 and Series 3, and over time the earlier cars have come to be referred to as Series 1. The Series 2 introduced a number of design changes, largely due to U.S. design legislation. New seats were fitted which allowed the fitment of head restraints, as required by U.S. law beginning in 1969. Production according to Robson is 13,490 of all types.

1969 Jaguar E-Type Series two Fixed Head Coupe. The car has the factory 4.2 liter engine with the original manual four speed gearbox. It is all matching numbers. This vehicle is mechanically sound and is a blast to drive. We have just done some work to this vehicle. The front brakes have been completely rebuilt or have new parts. Brake calipers are rebuilt, new pads, new rotors, new bearings. Brakes are good and the car doesn't pull.
The carburetors have also been rebuilt. The oil and filter were just changed about 200 miles ago. Mileage on the car shows just over 7,700 miles; presumed to have 107,000 miles.

The interior is in great condition and is all complete. Interior wise we have done a few things. We have installed the door trim, got the choke light to work, put the jaguar on the ash tray and installed new rubber on the brakes pedal and clutch pedal. All the gauges are working. All five wire wheels are there. Has the original jack and knock off tool. The windows roll up and down with ease. Glass is in good condition with no cracks or chips. The doors open and close very well. Very solid car. Great car to add to anybody's collection.
