1956 Oldsmobile Holiday 88 For Sale
This is the second generation of the Oldsmobile 88's. These second gen oldsmobile's had great improvements over the first gen cars. For 1956 these cars had many changes. They had a new split grille in the front and revised tail lights in the rear. Horsepower for the 324 rocket motors increased to 230 hp. A new transmission was also introduced. They were now a four speed that had park position on the shift quadrant. Inside few changes. A oval speedometer was now in the cars instead of the round style. The parking brake was also changed from a T handle style to a foot pedal.
This 1956 Oldsmobile Holiday 88 Sedan has just come out of long term ownership. Previous owner said that his great aunt bought the car when it was new. The vehicle has both black and yellow plates. Hasn't been on the road since 1999. This olds has the original 324 rocket engine with its original four speed automatic transmission. The engine turns freely by hand. Is not currently running.
The interior of the car will have to be done but all the pieces for the interior are there. Vehicle rolls and steers. Very few parts missing. The frame on the car is solid. Vehicle does have some rust. Majority of the rust is on the front floor pans. The rear pan and trunk pan is solid. The car will be sold with a bill of sale. We can get a title for the car for an additonal $250.
