1971 MGB Convertible For Sale

Mgb's were first introduced in late 1962. The Mgb went strong in America as its reliability and comfort became appreciated. The 1967 and newer Mgb's had changed to an all synchromesh gearbox. When 1968 came around MG also made another change by changing the 1800cc motor from a three main to a five main bearing engine. 1971 Mgb's have many improvements as they went to triple wipers, changed from a generator to an alternator and had a dual brake system.

This 1971 MGB has just come out of long term ownership. The previous owner told us that the engine was rebuilt and only has just over 7,000 miles on it. This vehicle is mechanically sound and has the original 1800cc engine. The gearbox on the car is the factory four speed with the rare option of overdrive. We have just done some work on this vehicle. Rear wheel cylinders were replaced as well as the rear hydraulic hose. The front brakes have rebuilt calipers, new hydraulic hoses and brand new rotors. Clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder were rebuilt as well we added a stainless steel hydraulic hose.

Interior on the vehicle is in great condition and is complete. All the gauges work as they should. Has all five wire wheels. Jack is included as well as the tonneau cover. The windshield does have a crack but we have a spare windshield that is in great shape that will be included. The door glass is in great condition. The car is very solid. Has a bit of rust on the lower front fenders. California car and the car is currently registered until march 2020. Very striking color combination with the wire wheels and white wall tires. Always been garage kept and is a very inexpensive classic car that will only appreciate in value.
